WHY BOX NEEDS YOU 

Box has a world class security organization responsible for protecting our customer and employee data around the globe. We are looking for an Enterprise Security Engineer to be a part of our Enterprise Security team to help drive initiatives and scale the security systems that protect Box's corporate environment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Deploy, and maintain security systems and services that support Box's enterprise security strategy.
  • Secure corporate infrastructure, endpoints, enterprise identity, AI and SaaS applications, and cloud environments through scalable engineering solutions.

  • Partner with IT, Infrastructure, and Engineering teams to identify security gaps, define requirements, and implement security controls.

  • Build and maintain security monitoring, detection, metrics, and dashboards to improve visibility into enterprise risk.

  • Automate security operations, policy enforcement, and operational workflows using APIs, scripting, and infrastructure-as-code where appropriate.

  • Support incident response, vulnerability management, and security investigations by improving telemetry, logging, and response capabilities.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in enterprise, cloud, or security engineering.

  • Strong understanding of enterprise security principles, including identity and access management (IAM), endpoint security, Zero Trust, remote access, network security, and secure enterprise architecture.

  • Hands-on experience with several of the following technologies:

    • Identity providers (Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace)

    • Firewalls/WAFs, VPNs, EDR, DLP, email security, vulnerability management, endpoint management, and system hardening

    • SIEM and security analytics platforms (Splunk, Elastic, Microsoft Sentinel, Chronicle, etc.)

    • Experience securing cloud-native and hybrid environments across AWS, GCP, and/or Azure.

    • Experience developing automation using scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Go, and integrating with enterprise APIs.

    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills

  • Familiarity with AI tools and services
