Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Azure DevOps Engineer II to extend and maintain existing and develop new pipelines for our Inspira IRA Platform. In your role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the continuous delivery of our software products and services to our clients and internal stakeholders. As an Azure DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for the successful implementation of complex technical initiatives, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, hands-on experience with DevOps tools, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of building and delivering large-scale DevOps projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Deep experience in Azure Cloud, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure DevOps (ADO) pipelines, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insight.
  • Deploy and manage containerized applications on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) using Helm charts, implementing GitOps workflows with Flux CD.
  • Architect and optimize Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for micro services deployments.
  • Collaborate with cloud and delivery teams to influence technical decisions and align them with business goals.
  • Identify and implement improvements to enhance the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of Azure DevOps pipeline.
  • Ensure software deployment and management are secure, reliable, and compliant with industry standards and best practices.
  • Document application releases comprehensively, including configuration and content details.
  • Demonstrate expertise in configuring, testing, and delivering core systems on Azure, ensuring they meet performance and reliability standards.
  • Deliver configuration as code for reproducibility and scalability.
  • Adapt working style to support teammates, practice active listening, and offer help when needed.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively on Azure, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Stay updated on the latest Azure DevOps trends, technologies, and best practices to continually improve.

Additional Interview Requirements:
As part of the evaluation process, candidates who progress beyond the initial screening will be required to complete a formal technical assessment to validate coding proficiency and technical competency.
Education & Experience
  • 3-5+ years of experience as an Azure and Microsoft centric DevOps engineer or related role
  • Professional and empathetic in client interactions, focusing on understanding and promoting client interests
  • Strong experience with Azure cloud platforms, ADO pipelines, Flux CD, Helm, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and Ansible
  • Proficiency with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes (AKS)
  • Experience with databases, secrets, and storage services and other cloud engineering automation tools
  • Take full ownership of tasks, ensure completion, and manage time responsibly
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Data Dog, and Application Insights
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to drive continuous improvement in the DevOps community of practice
