  • Prepare detailed labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, travel, logistics, and vendor cost calculations.
  • Develop technical and commercial proposals that accurately reflect project scope, assumptions, exclusions, and deliverables.
  • Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations to support estimate development.
  • Support change order development and pricing for additional project scope when required.
  • Manage assigned quote opportunities to meet customer deadlines and departmental performance objectives

Technical Review and Scope Development

  • Review and validate project scopes to ensure technical accuracy and alignment with customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and field service teams to optimize project execution approaches and resource planning.

  • Use historical project performance data and lessons learned to improve estimate accuracy.
  • Review cost assumptions and labor requirements to support consistency and proper project budgeting.
  • Assist in evaluating quote-to-actual variances and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Support pricing governance and approval processes for projects meeting established review thresholds.

Risk Assessment and Compliance

  • Identify technical, operational, commercial, and execution risks during the estimating process.
  • Verify compliance with applicable industry standards, including NETA, OSHA, NEC, IEC, customer specifications, and company requirements.
