As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Drop of Life Counseling Services, your role will encompass a variety of responsibilities including:

• Conducting individual, couple, and family therapy sessions that address various mental health challenges.
• Developing tailored therapeutic approaches for each client, considering their unique backgrounds and needs.
• Utilizing evidence-based interventions to facilitate healthier relationship dynamics and improve communication skills.
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of client interactions in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Engaging in ongoing professional development and supervision to enhance therapeutic practices and knowledge.

Your work will involve a diverse population, including individuals, couples, and families who are dealing with:

• Substance abuse issues
• Experiences of physical or psychological abuse
• Grief and loss challenges
• Family conflicts and communication difficulties
• Adjustment issues related to separation or divorce, including blended family dynamics

Your capacity to connect with clients from various backgrounds will be essential in fostering an inclusive and supportive environment that promotes healing.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A current and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills necessary for building rapport with clients.
• Empathy and a nonjudgmental attitude toward clients’ experiences.
• Efficient organizational and time-management skills to balance caseload and administrative tasks.

While we welcome applications from both newly licensed and experienced therapists, candidates with a history of working with family systems and a strong theoretical foundation in family therapy will be especially valued. Experience in teletherapy and proficiency with digital counseling tools is a plus.
