This position is embedded within our community health clinic framework, operating remotely to extend our reach and accessibility to clients across Tucson and beyond. You will engage with a multidisciplinary team that includes primary care physicians, nurses, and case managers. • Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate each client's mental health status, psychosocial needs, and treatment readiness, ensuring evidence-based practices are utilized throughout the assessment process.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address both mental health concerns and any co-occurring disorders. You will continually monitor progress and make adjustments as necessary to improve treatment efficacy.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions using diverse therapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing (MI), to support clients in developing coping strategies and personal growth.
• Coordinate care with other members of the treatment team, helping to bridge communication between medical professionals and mental health services for integrated client support.
• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families to foster understanding of mental health issues, promote recovery, and encourage active family involvement in the treatment process.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and ethical standards by maintaining accurate and confidential client records, which are crucial for both effective treatment and legal documentation.

This role will focus on a diverse population, including individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse issues. As a therapist, you will be crucial in guiding clients through their recovery journeys, assisting them in navigating the complexities of mental health challenges, and helping them build resilience and coping skills.

• A current and valid license to practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) is required.
• A bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field is essential; preference will be given to candidates with higher degrees.
• Experience in mental health counseling, particularly in addressing substance abuse and co-occurring disorders, is preferred.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices for treating mental health issues and significant knowledge of therapeutic modalities are critical for success in this role.
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to establish rapport with clients and colleagues alike, are necessary.

• Previous experience in a community health clinic setting or within a multidisciplinary team is highly desirable.
• Additional training in trauma-informed care or related areas is a plus that can enhance service delivery.
• Proficiency in teletherapy tools and techniques that aid in providing high-quality remote counseling sessions.
