This full-time, remote position allows you to positively impact the lives of children and families throughout Tucson, Arizona, and beyond. Candidates who are bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese are strongly encouraged to apply as we strive to serve a diverse community.

About the Organization

Wellcure Mental Therapeutic Clinic is a leading community health clinic committed to delivering high-quality mental health services to children, adolescents, and their families. Our mission is to provide comprehensive therapeutic support, particularly for youth with developmental and intellectual disabilities. As a team, we emphasize inclusivity, collaboration, and community integration, ensuring that every child has access to the vital resources they need.

Work Environment

This role is performed in a remote setting, allowing for flexibility in scheduling and location. However, therapists will need to attend client visits in their homes or community settings as required. The position demands a commitment to providing thoughtful and effective therapy while aligning with other professionals in multidisciplinary teams. Our supportive work culture fosters ongoing professional development and a collaborative approach to care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct individual therapeutic sessions with clients in their homes or via teletherapy, adapting strategies to meet their unique needs.
  • Implement evidence-based treatment methods focusing on anger management, coping strategies, and social skills development, particularly for children experiencing high-risk behaviors such as self-injury or aggression.
  • Work closely with caregivers to enhance decision-making and improve family dynamics, thereby effectively managing behavioral challenges in the home environment.
  • Collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team and other specialists to offer a unified therapeutic approach, exchanging insights and strategies to optimize client outcomes.
  • Document all client interactions meticulously, ensuring that intake records, treatment plans, and progress notes are completed in a timely manner to comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in monthly team meetings, contributing valuable perspectives and recommendations that can inform clinic operations and client care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As an LMFT at Wellcure, you will primarily work with children and adolescents aged 3 to 20, particularly those exhibiting developmental disabilities and cognitive challenges. This role presents a fulfilling opportunity to make a significant impact on vulnerable populations and help them navigate their struggles effectively.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related field.
  • An active and unrestricted LMFT license in Arizona.
  • Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during traditional after-school times, specifically from 4 PM to 7 PM, with additional flexibility during weekends considered advantageous.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle for client outreach.
  • Ability to pass a thorough criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with positive behavior support techniques.
  • Prior work experience with youth, particularly those with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), is strongly preferred.
Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Benefits include:

  • A dynamic and engaging work environment that promotes creativity and collaboration.
  • Comprehensive group health coverage.
  • Annual paid time off to ensure work-life balance.
  • Short and long-term disability insurance for peace of mind.
  • 401K retirement plan for financial security.
  • Ongoing job training and professional development opportunities to enhance skill sets and career pathways.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Wellcure, we believe in fostering our employees' career paths. You will have access to structured professional development programs that encourage continuous learning and specialization in areas of interest, whether through advanced certifications, workshops, or conferences. Strong performers will have opportunities for advancement within the organization, especially as we expand our services and reach.

Why Join Our Team

This is not just a job; it is a chance to become part of a mission that brings hope and healing to families in need. By joining Wellcure, you become a valued member of a team dedicated to empowering youth and their families through comprehensive mental health support. You will be surrounded by a culture that celebrates inclusiveness, ongoing education, and shared success.
