Customer Care Representative (Remote - EST Hours)

Fully Remote (U.S.)

Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST

About the Opportunity

Join a leading waste management company as a Customer Care Representative and help deliver exceptional service to customers across the country. In this role, you'll handle a high volume of inbound customer calls, assist with account management and billing inquiries, resolve service-related concerns, and provide solutions that leave customers feeling supported and valued.

This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced call center environment, enjoy problem-solving, and can confidently navigate conversations ranging from routine requests to escalated customer concerns.

What You'll Do

  • Handle a high volume of inbound customer calls while delivering outstanding customer service
  • Assist customers with:
    • New account setup
    • Bulk pickup requests
    • Billing questions and payment inquiries
    • Service changes or cancellations
  • Research and resolve customer issues accurately and efficiently
  • De-escalate challenging situations and work toward positive resolutions
  • Build rapport with customers through active listening and empathy
  • Document customer interactions using company systems and databases
  • Meet or exceed call center performance metrics and service expectations
  • Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products or services
  • Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities

Qualifications

Required
  • Minimum 2 years of customer-facing experience handling a variety of customer interactions, including difficult or escalated situations
  • At least 1 year of high-volume call center experience (60+ calls per day)
  • Proven experience resolving customer concerns and de-escalating challenging conversations
  • Strong communication and active listening skills
  • Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and remain professional under pressure
  • Reliable internet connection and dedicated remote workspace
Preferred
  • Experience with account management, billing, or service-related inquiries
  • Previous experience in utilities, waste management, logistics, or service industries
  • Familiarity with CRM or customer service software

Pay and Benefits
