Job description

Job Title: Call Center Agent (Customer Service Representative)

Location: Remote – Candidates must be local to Mesa, Arizona

Employment Type: Contract / W2

Maximum Pay Rate: $17.50/hour on W2

Important Work Arrangement

Training will be conducted onsite in Mesa, Arizona. Upon successful completion of training, the role will transition to a remote position.

Once working remotely, candidates must be available to work during EST Call Center operating hours:

  • Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM EST
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM EST


Position Overview

We are seeking customer-focused Call Center Agents (CSRs) to provide exceptional service to shareholders, brokers, and institutional clients. The selected candidates will be responsible for handling inbound customer inquiries, researching and resolving account-related issues, and making outbound follow-up calls when necessary.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to provide accurate and professional service while meeting established performance and service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to the assigned daily schedule and be available to handle inbound calls as scheduled.
  • Answer inbound calls from shareholders and prospective shareholders in a professional and timely manner.
  • Respond accurately to client inquiries and ensure customer needs are addressed effectively.
  • Follow all required account verification and security procedures.
  • Adhere to established call-handling procedures and quality standards.
  • Provide information related to accounts, including balances, closing prices, portfolio performance, and stock quotes.
  • Actively listen and ask appropriate questions to understand client needs.
  • Research and resolve customer issues efficiently and accurately.
  • Maintain and update shareholder accounts using the appropriate systems.
  • Escalate complex issues to the appropriate teams when necessary.
  • Keep management informed of recurring client concerns and feedback.
  • Make outbound follow-up calls for issues that cannot be resolved during the initial interaction.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of systems used to initiate shareholder transactions and account maintenance requests.
  • Stay current on Stock Transfer products, services, systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge of the financial products supported by CPU.
  • Participate in extensive ongoing training to maintain competency in financial markets and financial instruments.

Required Skills

  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong keyboarding and typing skills; formal typing training is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 1–5 years of experience working in a call center or customer service environment.
