Customer Service Representative (Email & Chat Support) - Remote

Location: 100% Remote (Must reside in an approved hiring state)

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

Duration: 4 Months with potential for extension or permanent hire

Pay Rate: $16.00/hour

About the Opportunity

We are seeking Customer Service Representatives to support a growing online membership and e-commerce platform. In this role, you will assist customers primarily through email support (90%) and chat support (10%), helping resolve account concerns, answer questions, and provide a positive customer experience.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong written communication skills, customer service experience, and a passion for helping customers in a fast-paced online environment.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to customer inquiries via email and chat
  • Investigate and resolve customer issues with professionalism and accuracy
  • Update customer accounts and maintain detailed records
  • Research and identify solutions to customer concerns
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex issues
  • Follow up to ensure customer satisfaction and issue resolution
  • Identify trends and escalate recurring concerns when appropriate
  • Assist with process improvement recommendations
  • Support onboarding and training efforts for new team members as needed
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-3 years of customer service experience
  • Experience supporting customers through email and/or chat
  • Strong internet navigation skills
  • Familiarity with online shopping and internet-based services
  • Ability to use keyboard shortcuts such as Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Typing speed of 50+ WPM
Preferred Qualifications
  • 55+ WPM typing speed
  • Call center experience
  • Data entry experience
  • Retail customer service background
  • Banking or teller experience
  • Experience using CRM platforms such as Zendesk or similar systems
  • Experience working for an internet-based or technology-focused company
Schedule

Multiple shifts available:

1st Shift

  • 6:15 AM - 2:45 PM
  • OR 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

2nd Shift

  • 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM

Alternative Schedule

  • Four 10-hour shifts (Sunday-Wednesday)

Employees must be available to:

  • Work at least one weekend day each week
  • Work assigned holidays
