Job description

Axyde Analytics is recruiting a senior geometallurgy and applied mineralogy specialist for contingent USTDA critical-minerals project-scoping work.
The specialist will connect orebody variability to process selection, recoveries, product quality, operating risk and project economics. Depending on independence and conflicts, the person may serve as a technical lead, alternate or independent reviewer.
Required evidence:
• 15+ years of directly relevant experience and an advanced degree in geology, mineralogy, metallurgical engineering or a closely related field.
• Personal leadership of integrated geometallurgical programs covering domaining, sampling, mineral characterization and variability testwork.
• Demonstrated use of mineralogy and testwork to support flowsheet selection, recovery models, resource-to-reserve decisions, mine planning or feasibility studies.
• Experience with QEMSCAN/MLA or comparable automated mineralogy, comminution, liberation, flotation/leaching response and metallurgical accounting.
• Ability to provide evidence-based acceptance criteria, identify data gaps and independently review consultant or laboratory conclusions.
• Strong written communication for Government decision products.
Engagement is remote, project-based and contingent on contract award and assignment authorization; no minimum work is guaranteed. Limited travel to U.S. and international locations subject to U.S. Department of State Level 1 or Level 2 Travel Advisories may be required.
Applicants should be currently U.S.-based and must self-attest that they are a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident. Axyde will separately confirm availability, travel, résumé-use authorization and organizational-conflict facts before proposal selection. Please submit a current résumé and identify one or two nonconfidential geometallurgy programs you personally led or independently reviewed, including scale, methods, decisions and outcomes.
