As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Divine Mercy, your role encompasses numerous responsibilities that are vital to our mission:

• Act as an advocate for clients by helping them navigate community resources, social services, and support systems to enhance their quality of life.
• Provide immediate support and crisis intervention for clients experiencing acute distress, ensuring their safety and ongoing stability.
• Maintain thorough and accurate client records, progress notes, and treatment plans, adhering to the highest legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in collaborative efforts with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, fostering an integrated approach to client care.
• Educate clients on coping mechanisms, effective communication, and self-care strategies, empowering them to take charge of their mental health journey.
• Participate in community outreach initiatives and networking activities to expand referral resources and strengthen partnerships within the community.

Your work will primarily focus on individuals in the outpatient setting who may face a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, grief, and adjustment disorders. You will engage with a diverse client population, tailoring your therapeutic approach to meet their unique needs and circumstances. This role is particularly suited for those who are passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals coping with mental health issues.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Illinois.
• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field is required.
• A minimum of four years of relevant experience in the mental health field.
• Demonstrated ability to work in an outpatient mental health setting is highly preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster client relationships.
• Commitment to ethical practice and confidentiality in all client interactions.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in collaborative team settings.

• Previous experience in crisis intervention and case management.
• Familiarity with telehealth technologies and remote counseling practices.
• Experience in conducting psychoeducational workshops or community outreach activities.
