Overview
The Mgr / Sr. Mgr Go-to-Market Strategy is tasked with leading and executing key strategic initiatives and business processes in support of SGWS' State, Region, and Corporate commercial leadership teams. Collaborating closely with other member of the Go-to-Market Strategy team, this role involves day-to-day project management across the complete range of "Go-to-Market" (GTM) priorities, including route-to-market strategy and execution, commercial organization restructuring, cost-to-serve modeling, supplier proposals, channel growth strategies, and more.
This position partners with other Corporate functions, as well as Regional, Dedicated Division, and State leadership teams to translate insights and strategies into actionable plans and execution.
Primary Responsibilities
• Develop and implement Route-to-Market strategies and structures across states, regions, and dedicated divisions
• Contribute to and/or lead responses to supplier proposal requests
• Build compelling presentations to distill complex concepts and recommendations for executive-level audiences
• Cultivate deep knowledge of commercial strategies and regulatory nuances across all SGWS markets and divisions
• Navigate SGWS' data and analytical tools to summarize RTM structures, commercial KPIs, and support ad hod analyses
• Utilize project management principles to organize disparate stakeholder groups and move work products forward
• Conduct cost-to-serve modeling and provide strategic recommendations for commercial organization enhancements
• Leverage external market data to identify and evaluate external market opportunities
• Continuously analyze and review opportunities, threats, strengths, and weaknesses that impact the growth of the company's business
• Cultivate strong interpersonal and presentation skills to maintain effective working relationships and communicate persuasively with stakeholders at all levels
Additional Primary Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of relevant experience (8+ preferred) in beverage alcohol, CPG, or strategy consulting
• Strong Microsoft Office Skills with a focus on Excel and PowerPoint
• Able to obtain and meet industry licensing requirements as needed
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to think critically and influence others
• Demonstrated ability to independently lead complex and/or ambiguous projects
• Ability to travel domestically up to 30%
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior experience working with SGWS and/or beverage alcohol distribution
• Working knowledge of SGWS' commercial data tools - notably Compass and Business Objects
• Experience leading high-visibility, complex projects across stakeholders of all levels
