Job description

Purpose

Divergent is seeking a Teamcenter PLM Solution Architect to lead the architecture, design, and evolution of our Siemens Teamcenter PLM ecosystem. This individual will serve as a technical leader responsible for designing scalable PLM solutions that enable engineering, manufacturing, and enterprise teams to collaborate efficiently throughout the product lifecycle.

You'll work closely with engineering, manufacturing, IT, and business stakeholders to expand Teamcenter capabilities, integrate enterprise systems, improve user experiences, and deliver high-impact PLM solutions supporting some of the most advanced manufacturing technologies in the world.

This is an opportunity to own the technical direction of a mission-critical PLM platform while helping shape the future of next-generation manufacturing.

You will be part of a team that handles support of Teamcenter, NX, and Easy Plan. The primary responsibilities are designing and building new applications, enhancing the systems, and assisting end users. Additionally, you will work with our application teams to help with system administration, implement workflows, integrate systems, provide consulting help, and provide general expertise on Teamcenter.

The Role
  • Be a key resource for investigating, analyzing, and designing new applications and functionality for our Teamcenter and NX environment.
  • Help define and evolve the overall architecture for our Siemens Teamcenter PLM environment.
  • Design scalable, maintainable, and high-performance PLM solutions that support engineering, manufacturing, and enterprise business processes. Applications can include ITK, SOA, OData based stand-alone applications, or extensions to Teamcenter and NX themselves.
  • Design extensions to the Teamcenter object model to support integrations and data sharing between NX, ERP, and MES systems.
  • Customize the Active Workspace, streamline the user interface, and add new functionality.
  • Evaluate new Teamcenter and NX capabilities and recommend technology improvements that increase scalability, usability, and add value to our Engineering user base.
  • Design new and enhance existing workflows to support both Change Management and Release Management.
  • Work with users to gather requirements and design new features and functionality for the system.
  • Author project definition and design documents for various enterprise level projects.
  • Consult with various departments on best practices and to trouble shoot problems and issues.
  • Partner with engineering, IT, and manufacturing stakeholders to continuously improve PLM adoption and usability 
Basic Qualifications
  • Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls.
  • 10+ years of experience working with Teamcenter implementations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with the Teamcenter BMIDE, Classification, Workflows, Change Management, NX integration, the Rich Client, the Active Workspace, and customization of the product.
  • Experience with the ITK and SOA APIs. Experience with the OData interface is a plus.
  • Experience programming in C++, C#, Java, and/or Python.
  • Strong knowledge of PLM concepts, including product structures, configuration management, workflows, and lifecycle management. 
  • Experience creating workflows and with Teamcenter Change Management.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. 
  • Excellent communication skills, and the ability to support both technical and non-technical users. 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with data migrations, upgrades, and multi-site environments.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or high-growth technology business. 
  • Experience with Teamcenter Cloud environments.
  • Experience with Easy Plan, Opcenter and Mendix.
  • Experience with NX, NX Manager, and customizing NX.
  • Experience installing and upgrading Teamcenter and NX.
