As a remote mental health counselor, you will work primarily via telehealth, connecting with clients through secure digital platforms. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and evaluations to accurately gauge clients' mental health status, utilizing standardized assessment tools and intake procedures.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that align with clients' unique goals, preferences, and needs, using evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
• Provide individualized and group therapy sessions for adult clients, employing a variety of therapeutic approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness techniques.
• Utilize teletherapy tools to deliver virtual therapy sessions effectively, ensuring client engagement through technology.
• Offer crisis intervention services as needed, including risk assessments and immediate support to clients in distress.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in mental health care.
• Document sessions and treatment progress in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards while minimizing paperwork to maximize patient care time.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role is centered on providing mental health care primarily to adult clients facing a broad spectrum of challenges, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related conditions, and life transitions. Your interventions will not only help clients manage their symptoms but also empower them to develop effective coping strategies and foster resilience. You will work closely with clients to create an environment that promotes trust, empathy, and support.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid and current license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• Completion of a master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to client care.
• Demonstrated organizational and time-management abilities to effectively manage a caseload of clients.
• No history of disciplinary actions on your licensing board.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in telehealth or remote therapy settings is advantageous.
• Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities, including evidence-based practices and approaches tailored to adults.
• Experience in developing and implementing treatment plans that deliver measurable outcomes for clients.
• Engagement in continuous education and professional membership in mental health organizations.
