Job description

Job Duties

Work as part of Dayforce Product Development team to create the industry’s next generation Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions. Support Dayforce’s Hyperscale Payroll Application, a high-stakes initiative designed to support payroll for over 1 million employees per client—the most scalable payroll solution in the world. Drive the project, actively shaping its technical foundation, component structure, and architectural direction in alignment with business scalability and performance goals. Play a key technical role in core module development—owning the design, development, and optimization of foundational services and reusable components using C#, .NET, React, Entity Framework, Sql Database, and GraphQL. Lead and perform deep code reviews and architecture reviews, establishing coding standards, enforcing design principles, and ensuring the system’s long-term maintainability and high efficiency. Work across cross-functional teams spanning product, Quality Assurance, infrastructure, and leadership in both the US and Canada—serving as a critical bridge engineer for knowledge transfer, alignment, and execution. Take initiative in performance profiling and optimization, delivering measurable improvements in system responsiveness and data processing at scale. Collaborate directly with senior leadership on roadmap execution and post-launch support for the first production phase.

Position is open to telecommuting from anywhere in the United States.

Minimum Education Required

Must possess Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or foreign equivalent, or related field, and four years of experience as a Software Developer, Software Automation Test Engineer, or related occupation. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, employer will accept two years of post-secondary education in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.

Minimum Experience Required

Must possess 4 years of experience with each of the following:

  • building highly-performant and scalable applications

  • web technologies including: HTML 5, CSS 3, SVG, and JSON

  • C#, .NET, React, Entity Framework, Sql Database, and GraphQL.

  • public cloud infrastructure such as Azure

  • working in an Agile scrum team as a key contributor
