As a remote medical transcription editor, you work from home to review and fix the work that medical transcriptionists transcribe. Your duties and responsibilities include reviewing documents, correcting inaccurate information as well as grammar and spelling mistakes, and ensuring the proper use of medical terminology. You may also work to transcribe audio files or handwritten notes about a patient from a physician. Some medical facilities use speech-to-text software to record a physician. In this case, a transcription editor corrects the text produced by the software and adds doctor's notes and medical record information.
