This position is entirely remote, allowing you to work from anywhere in the San Jose, California region. As part of our team, you will engage with clients primarily through virtual platforms, ensuring flexibility and convenience. Our collaborative culture emphasizes open communication and support among remote staff, ensuring that you receive guidance and encouragement as you fulfill your responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions as needed to support clients’ mental health and emotional well-being.
  • Develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each student’s unique needs, taking into account their academic and social environments.
  • Perform thorough assessments by utilizing a variety of data collection methods, including interviews, observations, and case history reviews to evaluate the specific needs and issues of your clients.
  • Maintain an active caseload of clients and provide ongoing therapeutic support, ensuring clear communication and collaboration with parents, guardians, and educational staff as appropriate.
  • Review and document client progress meticulously, maintaining adherence to regulatory and best practice standards, while ensuring all necessary clinical documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Adapt and implement assessment protocols to align with current mental health best practices and health plan regulations, ensuring the highest quality of care.
  • Participate in team meetings and case reviews, bringing insight from your clinical practice to enhance collective understanding and approach to treatment.
  • Provide training and support to staff in understanding mental health issues and how they affect kids in the school environment.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In your role as a Remote School-Based Mental Health Therapist, you will primarily serve children and adolescents within an educational context. The clients you support may be dealing with a range of challenges including anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and trauma. Your interventions aim to enhance students' coping skills, academic performance, and overall emotional well-being, helping them thrive in their school environment.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Active and unrestricted Clinical Social Worker License (LCSW) in California.
  • A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, ideally in a mental health or educational setting.
  • Solid understanding of mental health practices, along with the ability to engage youth in both therapeutic and clinical capacities.
  • Demonstrated skills in conflict resolution and crisis management, showcasing the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience specifically in school social work or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records and other clinical documentation software.
  • Training in trauma-informed care and evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

This role offers a competitive salary ranging from $120,000 to $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a robust salary, Captured Mental Health Therapy provides an excellent benefits package that includes:
