Job Title: Senior Medical Dosimetrist

Position Overview:

The Senior Medical Dosimetrist plays a pivotal role in the development and execution of complex radiation treatment plans. This position is ideal for seasoned dosimetrists who bring advanced expertise, leadership capabilities, and a commitment to mentoring junior staff. The Senior Dosimetrist will collaborate closely with physicians, physicists, and clinical teams to ensure precision, safety, and quality in patient treatment.


Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Medical Dosimetrist, you will:

  • Lead the design and optimization of advanced treatment plans using 3D, IMRT, VMAT, SBRT, and SRS techniques
  • Perform and oversee contouring, image registration (rigid and deformable), and dose accumulation processes
  • Review and validate treatment plans for accuracy, compliance, and clinical effectiveness
  • Mentor and support junior dosimetrists and contribute to training initiatives
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless and coordinated patient care
  • Participate in quality assurance programs and contribute to protocol development
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and clinic-specific documentation requirements


Qualifications:


Certification/Education

  • CMD certified in current good standing with MDCB
  • BS or MS from accredited program or equivalent experience


Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of clinical experience performing clinical dosimetry
  • Expertise with:
  • Varian Linacs, Eclipse, Aria and Radformation
  • Registrations – Rigid and Deformable
  • Additional experience preferred:
  • Proficiency with multiple planning systems
  • Adaptive planning
  • Plan QA creation
  • AI Contouring
  • EQD2/BED calculations
  • Second check systems
  • Other emerging technologies
