Job description

US Surgitech, a manufacturer of surgical medical disposable products is looking for experienced, independent OR reps (1099 Position) for multiple territories throughout the US. Our products are now on most of the major GPO contracts. We are looking for high-quality candidates who can cover cases and close business.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and close new customer sales opportunities in a designated territory.
  • Plan and implement effective sales strategies.
  • Advance opportunities efficiently and with a sense of urgency through the sales cycle.
  • Build and maintain key customer relationships.
  • Travel to hospitals/surgery centers to conduct in-services, including coordinating the involvement of all necessary internal team members.
  • Attend cases in the OR, surgery center or physician offices.
  • Provide field support to clinical staff (education & implementation of products)
  • Ensure positive communication and collaboration with inside account representatives effectively to maximize the success of your territory.
  • Respond positively and promptly to customer questions, concerns, and complaints to find and provide solutions.
  • Present new or additional products and services to existing customers.

Qualifications

  • O.R. sales experience; credentialed (current or previous) with at least one of the following credentialing services (RepTrax, Symplr, Vendormate, etc)
  • 2+ years of successful sales experience (preferably medical device)
  • Confident presence and strong influencing skills; excellent negotiation and the ability to close sales
  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing complex sales cycles typically defined as six months or longer with multiple stakeholders, decision-makers, and influencers at multiple levels
  • Solid understanding of communication technology and healthcare industry dynamics
  • Ability to effectively convert leads into new relationships and closed deals, self-starter
  • Strong sense of creativity and innovation
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting and/or exceeding sales quotas
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills specifically relating to stress management, people management, and conflict management.
  • Exercise discretion and independence when applying professional expertise.
  • Must be able to possess written and oral communication / present to large groups of people.
  • Must be able to manage time and bring tasks through to completion with minimal supervision.
  • Must have the ability to prioritize work and keep detailed and confidential records.
  • Must possess unwavering ethics & integrity in a competitive and demanding work environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
