How You'll Contribute to the Team

The Project Manager supports the daily operations of energy and utilities projects for the military housing portfolio. This role will ensure successful delivery and continuous development of energy and modernization projects, with oversight of scope, schedule, contract administration, and operational performance. This role oversees subcontractor execution, manages internal team members, and serves as a key point of coordination among stakeholders to ensure project objectives are delivered on time, within scope, and to quality standards.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop positive working relationships with stakeholders and serve as a client-facing member of the team, participating in meetings and presentations, as appropriate.
  • Document and manage project scope, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations and organizational objectives.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, including milestones, dependencies, and critical paths.
  • Monitor progress against baseline plans and implement corrective actions to address deviations.
  • Lead scope change management processes, including impact analysis and documentation.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within defined scope parameters.
  • Manage subcontractor performance and issue resolution, ensuring work is executed in accordance with contractual terms, quality standards, and timelines.
  • Review deliverables, track progress, and enforce accountability for deadlines and outcomes.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to subcontractor performance.
  • Implement contingency plans to minimize project disruptions.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks related to scope, schedule, and resources.
  • Ensure adherence to organizational processes, policies, and quality standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement in project execution, subcontractor management, and operational efficiency.
  • Utilize data and reporting tools to track performance and inform decision-making.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on project status, risks, and priorities, escalating critical issues as needed for quick decision-making.
  • Facilitate regular status meetings, reporting on schedule, scope, risks, and performance.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations through clear, proactive communication.
  • Lead, train, and develop employees; manage their day-to-day workload, and communicate clear expectations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Role Specific Requirements Include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in project management, operations, or related discipline.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Proven leadership and personnel management capabilities.
  • Previous experience with public-private partnerships, specifically with the government, is a plus.
  • Project Management Professional certification preferred.
  • Detail and process-oriented with proven ability to design clear processes and repeatable systems.
  • Proven ability to manage timelines, delivery, and dependencies in a results-focused environment and influence outcomes without hierarchical authority.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and writing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with management and cross-functional teams and establish collaborative relationships.
  • Previous management experience with supervision of subordinates is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate performance data and provide concise explanations to audiences with varying levels of project knowledge.
  • Flexible attitude with respect to work assignments and ability to manage multiple and competing priorities in a dynamic and matrixed environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite required; familiarity with Procore, Asana, or other construction management software is a plus.
  • Ability to travel as needed up to 20%
  • Valid driver's license required.

The annual salary range for this position is estimated to go from $90k - $105, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and work location. This position is eligible for a discretionary target incentive of up to 10% of the base salary.
