As part of a detox center environment, you will be responsible for providing vital mental health support to patients undergoing a transitional phase in their recovery journey.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, you will:

• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients to determine their psychosocial needs and develop effective treatment plans tailored to individual circumstances.
• Employ evidence-based treatment modalities and maintain accurate documentation of client sessions and progress in accordance with departmental standards.
• Collaborate with a team of medical and support staff to coordinate comprehensive care and ensure seamless communication regarding patient needs and services.
• Provide psychoeducation to patients and families, helping them understand the intricacies of mental health recommendations and recovery pathways.
• Champion patient advocacy efforts within the community, aiming to maximize resource utilization and uphold the concept of self-determination.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to remain current with best practices in social work and mental health policies.

Your expertise will be critical in working with a diverse population, including children, adolescents, and adults who may face challenges related to mental illness or substance use disorders. Understanding the unique cultural backgrounds, developmental stages, and specific needs of each client is paramount to promoting effective therapeutic engagement and positive outcomes.

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited school of social work.
• A current Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license from the State Board of Social Work Licensure.
• Demonstrated knowledge of social work principles, including adherence to NASW Code of Ethics.
• Strong analytical skills to assess client needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.

Ideal candidates will have between six months to one year of clinical experience, specifically in health or mental health settings. Additionally, a preference will be given to those with over one year of behavioral health experience dealing with a wide range of demographic groups.
