Role Overview:
Could you be our next Agency Admin Business Specialist? American Income Life is looking for an Agency Admin Business Specialist to join the team!
In this role, you will be responsible for communicating directly with agents, SGAs, directors, and top-level executives via telephone, email, fax, and written correspondence. You will handle sensitive legal matters and provide timely responses to regulatory bodies such as the Department of Insurance, Department of Labor, and various state unemployment agencies, while also working directly with company attorneys. Additional responsibilities include extracting, compiling, and analyzing data, reviewing and evaluating various agency-related reports, and providing quality customer service in a timely and professional manner.
This is a remote/work-from-home position. You will be required to work from our office in Waco, Texas, on occasion.
What You Will Do:
  • Extract and compile statistical data from various databases, SQL tables, and resources to create and maintain weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, ad-hoc reports, and summary recaps for management
  • Create and maintain databases, forms, tables, and spreadsheets to track assigned reports efficiently and accurately
  • Collaborate with team members to generate ideas for the most efficient and accurate reporting methods, while offering feedback to improve overall departmental workflow and productivity
  • Write and maintain detailed written procedures for all tasks performed and cross-train with team members to provide coverage during vacations and absences
  • Establish and maintain familiarity with a large volume of statistical company data while helping to maintain the integrity and security of that data
  • Handle sensitive and confidential records and communicate information effectively - both verbally and via email - with agents, SGAs, directors, and top-level executives

What You Can Bring:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment and various department-required software packages
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access, including:
    • Complex formulas, VLOOKUP, IF statements, and Macros
    • Pivot Tables and Conditional Formatting
    • Creating Queries and maintaining databases
  • Ability to create PDF format reports
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills, including writing formulas to calculate growth, averages, and more
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to independently research solutions
  • Detail-oriented with an understanding of cross-verification of data and the downstream impact of reporting decisions
  • Ability to remain focused on repetitive tasks while managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient communication skills including proper grammar, word usage, and punctuation - both written and verbal - with a professional and courteous demeanor
  • Ability to understand and apply a variety of oral and written instructions and demonstrate initiative in independent decision-making within established guidelines
  • Working knowledge of Tableau is desired
  • One year of experience in Agency Administration, Agent Licensing, or Agency Accounting is preferred
