Job Title: Learning Coach (Tutor)
Location: Virtual/remote/online - anywhere in the United States (must be able to complete fingerprinting within the U.S.)
Employment Type: Part-Time Employee (non-contractor)
Compensation:
  • $22-$27/hour DOE
  • Credentialed teachers may be eligible for additional compensation upon verification of credentials
  • References are required for all applicants
Hours: 15-25 hours/week (including prep and professional development)
Times: Available shifts are Monday-Friday (exact times may vary):
  • Morning: 9-10:30am
  • Afternoon: 1:30-3pm, 3:30-5pm
  • Evening: 5-8pm
  • Saturday Mornings: 10am-11:30am
*All times are in Pacific Standard Time (PST)

East Palo Alto Tennis and Tutoring (EPATT) is a nonprofit serving K12 students since 1988 through academic tutoring, tennis, and enrichment activities. Our mission is to help students become college and career-ready.
Position Summary
Do you want to equip youth for college and career readiness?! Then EPATT tutoring wants you! EPATT Tutors provide 1:1 academic support to students in grades K12 using EPATTs curriculum. Subjects include Reading, Math, Science, or SAT Prep.
What Were Looking For
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be located within the United States
  • Must be able to complete U.S.-based fingerprinting/background requirements
  • Strong understanding of K-12 math, reading, and writing
  • College students or graduates preferred
  • 1-2 years of previous tutoring or teaching experience strongly preferred
  • Organized, responsible, and energetic
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with youth from under-resourced communities is a plus
  • Availability during all listed program times (Pacific Time) is required
Technology Requirements
  • Comfortable using technology to lead virtual tutoring sessions.
  • Able to independently troubleshoot basic tech issues and support students as needed.
  • Must use a personal laptop or desktop computer with a working camera and microphone (iPads/tablets are not compatible).
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection required.
  • Willing to learn and adapt to new digital tools as needed.
