Senior Analyst - Pharmacy Pricing - REMOTEJob Description
The Senior Analyst - Pharmacy Pricing supports the development of pharmacy pricing and rebate analyses for Prime's existing and prospective clients. This role partners with actuaries and senior leaders to deliver accurate, timely analytics, investigate complex pricing questions, and translate data into clear insights. The position works on high-impact analyses and provides a strong foundation for growth into advanced actuarial or pricing leadership roles.
Actuarial credentials are not required; this role is open to both actuarial and non-actuarial candidates.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and support pharmacy pricing analyses and rebate guarantee calculations used in client pricing, renewals, and RFPs
  • Analyze large and complex pharmacy datasets to investigate rebate performance, utilization trends, and actual-to-expected results
  • Support the development and maintenance of analytical templates
  • Partner with actuaries, underwriting, and cross-functional teams to understand business needs and deliver accurate, decision-ready outputs
  • Prepare clear summaries, exhibits, and documentation to support client discussions and senior leadership review
  • Execute ad hoc analyses to support market events, client questions, and time-sensitive requests
  • Ensure analytical work is accurate, well-documented, and completed within established timelines
  • Continuously improve analytical processes, tools, and standard methodologies
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Economics, Finance, Statistics, or a related analytical field, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma or GED is required
  • 5+ years of analytical experience, preferably within healthcare, insurance, or a PBM environment
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for work visa or residency sponsorship

Additional Qualifications
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Working knowledge of SQL, SAS, VBA, Python, or similar analytical tools
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to analytical accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in pharmacy pricing, rebate analysis, or healthcare financial modeling
  • Experience in Commercial, Medicare, or Medicaid rate setting
  • Experience preparing analyses for client-facing or executive-level discussions
