Job description

Based in Los Angeles, BD&J is California’s leading personal injury law firm, with over $2 billion recovered for our clients, and we are currently seeking a skilled and articulate Demand Writer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has a way with words and a keen eye for detail to contribute to high-value personal injury cases.


The Demand Writer will be responsible for crafting persuasive and well-supported demand letters based on case facts, medical records, and client narratives. This is a full-time, remote position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Calculating the total damage sustained by the client in medical expenses, property damage, lost wages, and more.
  • Draft compelling letters that outline case facts, liability, injuries, treatment, and damages to obtain maximum settlement amount from insurance companies.
  • Analyze medical records and bills to accurately summarize treatment and calculate damages

  • Edit and revise drafts based on feedback from attorneys or supervisors
     

Skills & Requirements:

  • Qualified candidate will have 2+ years related experience in a Personal Injury law firm.
  • Must be familiar with reading medical reports and medical bills.
  • Must be organized and efficient with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Must have excellent math skills and writing skills.
  • Experience with Word, Excel, Outlook.
