We specialize in providing care to underserved populations, ensuring that individuals who face barriers to mental health care receive the support they need. Our group is defined by a strong commitment to compassion, professionalism, and excellence in service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs and develop personalized treatment plans that reflect their goals and challenges.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions, including individual therapy, group sessions, and family-focused treatment, employing evidence-based approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and peer support specialists, to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
  • Maintain compliance with all legal and ethical standards regarding documentation, confidentiality, and client treatment protocols.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development activities, including workshops and training, to remain current with advancements in mental health practice and enhance your therapeutic skills.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your clients will primarily consist of individuals and families from diverse backgrounds who may be experiencing a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse. Many of these clients face socio-economic challenges that have historically limited their access to quality mental health resources. You will play a crucial role in breaking down these barriers and enabling healthier outcomes.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field.
  • Possession of active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in Connecticut.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a counseling role, ideally within a clinical or community health setting.
  • A strong grasp of legal and ethical standards governing mental health practice.
Preferred Experience
  • Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse treatment.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with and build rapport with a diverse clientele.
  • Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) software and related technologies to manage client information effectively.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a healthcare team environment.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive annual salary ranging from $70,000 to $90,000, commensurate with experience and caseload assignment.
  • Comprehensive health benefits, including dental and vision insurance, to ensure your personal well-being.
  • Access to professional liability insurance, facilitating peace of mind as you provide care.
  • Assistance with billing and documentation tasks to streamline your workload and increase your focus on client engagement.
