• Establish and foster a trusting therapeutic relationship with clients, ensuring a safe space for open communication.
• Conduct thorough assessments to diagnose and treat mental health disorders, developing personalized treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, implementing evidence-based therapeutic modalities to support client progress.
• Regularly review and adjust treatment plans based on ongoing assessments of clients' mental health progression and feedback.
• Assist clients in identifying and addressing obstacles that hinder their mental health goals, providing strategic referrals to specialists when necessary.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and administrative tasks to ensure compliance and seamless care delivery.

As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Blue Ridge Hospice Counseling Center, you will work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals and families experiencing various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, grief, and trauma. Our focus is on providing holistic care that emphasizes resilience, personal growth, and the development of healthier coping strategies within family dynamics.

• Active State licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is necessary for this role.
• Proven experience in providing individual and/or group therapy, demonstrating proficiency in applied therapeutic techniques.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills to effectively manage caseload and administrative responsibilities.

• Experience in working with specific populations, such as veterans, adolescents, or families in crisis.
• Familiarity with telehealth practices and electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient patient documentation and care management.
• Certification in specialized therapy modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT) or training in trauma-informed care.
