  • Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, offering guidance on treatment options and promoting self-care strategies to enhance their recovery journey.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records, adhering to all relevant legal and ethical standards.
  • Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
  • Advocate for clients’ needs and contribute to eliminating mental health stigma within the community.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be individuals grappling with various mood disorders, including depression and anxiety, as well as vulnerable populations such as the homeless, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse. You will employ a trauma-informed approach to care, recognizing the unique challenges these clients face and addressing their needs with empathy and respect.

Qualifications
  • Current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is essential.
  • A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.

  • Familiarity with evidence-based practices and innovative treatment approaches in the mental health field.
  • Prior experience in a community health setting is an advantage.

  • The annual salary range for this position is between USD 70,000 and 90,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, retirement plan options, and health insurance coverage.
  • Access to ongoing educational opportunities and professional development tailored to addiction counseling and mental health practices.
