Marvelous Counseling Services is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to provide full-time mental health therapy to individuals who have experienced trauma. This role will be executed in a remote setting, allowing flexibility while maintaining an effective support structure for patients. Our outpatient office serves as both a collaborative workspace for our therapists and a comforting environment for patients. While you will primarily work from home, you will also have opportunities to engage in team meetings and consultations to foster professional relationships within the organization.

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to develop a precise understanding of each patient's trauma history and mental health needs.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and therapeutic goals.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to guide patients through their recovery journeys.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions to assist patients in processing trauma, developing coping strategies, and enhancing emotional well-being.
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for all patients.
• Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, helping patients access immediate resources.
• Educate patients and their families about effective trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available mental health resources.
• Maintain accurate and compliant documentation of all therapeutic interactions in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings to share insights and improve practice standards within a trauma-informed framework.
• Stay informed about the latest research in trauma therapy to continuously enhance the quality of care provided.

This position primarily serves individuals who are grappling with the effects of trauma, which may manifest as PTSD, anxiety, depression, and other related mental health disorders. We foster an inclusive and supportive environment for all patients, recognizing their unique experiences and needs. As a counselor, you will play a pivotal role in helping clients navigate their recovery paths and rebuild their lives.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience preferred, with a strong focus on trauma-related therapies.
• In-depth understanding of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed care principles, and resilience-building strategies.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a warm and empathetic approach to patient interaction.
• Ability to manage high-stress situations with composure and professionalism.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and essential computer applications.
• Capability to collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team that promotes comprehensive patient care.

• A specific background in delivering trauma-focused therapies is strongly desired.
• Experience working in remote settings or utilizing telehealth platforms for therapy sessions is a plus.
