Salary:                         $147,487 / Year - $161,300 / Year

Summary of Duties:   

Responsible for the messaging and go-to-market of RealPage’s property operations team focused on Smart Building technology solutions, utility and sustainability management in the multifamily real estate industry. Create compelling product messaging, planning, and executing go-to-market programs, and educate and enable internal teams on new products and capabilities. As the expert on IoT automation, mobile access and Wi-Fi connections that transform buildings into intelligent communities – use that knowledge to empower the Product, Marketing and Sales teams as we drive adoption and expansion of our solutions. This role will focus on multiple personas including property management companies, property owners and operators, community residents and technology partners enable connected communities. Serve as an expert on utility management and sustainability solutions – using knowledge of utility billing, submetering, sustainability analytics and energy reporting to empower the Product, Marketing and Sales teams as we drive adoption and expansion of our solutions. The PMM will focus on multiple personas including property management companies, property owners, investors and operators, and technology partners who support the unique challenges of energy usage, reporting and conservation. Help define, plan, and execute go-to-market for a set of integrated products, in coordinated partnership with Product Management, Marketing and Business Development / Sales teams. Identify and prioritize product capabilities required to address market needs. Drive clarity around market trends, customer needs, and industry best practices. Gather, analyze, and synthesize data to define buyer segments and business value. Develop succinct, compelling, and differentiated product messaging, supported by measurable proof points. Define, evaluate, and support pricing and packaging recommendations to ensure market competitiveness, and appropriate margin and business sustainability. Develop and deliver high-impact assets such as presentations, case studies, battlecards, videos, web pages, customer FAQs, competitive positioning, etc. Create sales and customer success training materials that cover industry trends, buyer personas, pain points, solutions, value proposition, sales plays, and competitive positioning. Collaborate with Demand Generation, developing strategies to target accounts and segments, messaging, and promotions to generate leads.  Provide an informed point of view and deliverables articulating where competition is headed or will emerge, and how to win at an individual product and competitor level. Blueprint the buyer’s journey and personas, and map decisions/information needs at each stage. Serve as a subject matter expert on your products and buyers in support of marketing and sales programs. Remote work permitted.


The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering Management, Computer Science, Information Science, or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or an acceptable alternate occupation.  The position requires experience with the following skills: Experience marketing software solutions in multifamily property management segment including IoT automation, mobile access, and Wi-Fi technologies; Experience in one or more of the following software segments: utility billing, submetering, sustainability analytics, energy reporting or related areas; Experience with product management, sales engineering, customer success, implementation, or software engineering; Ability to independently create compelling marketing content without editing assistance; Experience crafting elegant and compelling messages for complex products and succinctly explain complex ideas; Experience assessing problems and making recommendations supported by data; Experience with business-to-business (B2B) sales processes and how best to support sales teams and equip them for success; Project management skills, with the ability to create, drive, and manage detailed, multi-role projects with on-time delivery and regular communication; Experience leading and influencing cross-functional teams effectively to deliver required results. The position requires completion of Pragmatic Institute Product Marketing certification or current enrollment in Pragmatic Institute or Product Marketing Alliance coursework.  Remote work permitted.
