About Switch

At Switch, we don’t just design, build and operate data centers—we are enabling the technology of the future. Led by Founder & CEO, Rob Roy, we believe in revolutionary innovation, operational excellence and the principle of karma. Switch is where talented people come together to EVOLVE the digital world.

We believe that innovation isn’t just about technology—it’s about the people, culture, and purpose that make it happen. Every Switch team member contributes to a mission greater than themselves: to create the world’s most advanced digital infrastructure that powers the progress of humanity.

The Role: Vice President, Sales

As Vice President, Sales, you will drive strategic growth and revenue generation across Switch’s largest and most complex hyperscale accounts. This role exists to expand long-term customer partnerships, strengthen executive relationships, and position Switch as a strategic infrastructure provider within a rapidly evolving technology landscape.

As a highly strategic, senior-level individual contributor, you will lead high-value sales pursuits across the full sales lifecycle, partnering closely with customers, internal stakeholders, and executive leadership to deliver scalable colocation and infrastructure solutions aligned with customer business and technology objectives.

What You’ll Do
  • Own and grow strategic enterprise and hyperscale customer accounts

  • Strengthen and develop trusted executive relationships across customer organizations

  • Identify, qualify, and execute complex sales opportunities and long-term account strategies

  • Lead consultative sales engagements focused on infrastructure, colocation, and mission-critical solutions

  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of strategic opportunities across all sales stages

  • Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations, proposals, and commercial packages

  • Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline reporting on a regular cadence

  • Participate in sales forecasting, pipeline reviews, and strategic planning activities

  • Represent Switch at conferences, customer meetings, industry events, and executive engagements

  • Partner cross-functionally with Solutions Engineering, Operations, Legal, Finance, and Marketing teams to support customer success and deal execution

  • Provide market feedback, customer insights, and competitive intelligence to leadership

  • Support strategic alliances and business development initiatives across the broader infrastructure ecosystem

What We’re Looking For
  • You build strong executive relationships and establish long-term customer trust

  • You lead complex sales cycles with strategic discipline and strong commercial judgment

  • You communicate technical and business concepts clearly across stakeholder groups

  • You balance customer needs with operational and commercial realities

  • You influence decisions through credibility, preparation, and market expertise

  • You operate effectively in fast-paced, high-growth environments

  • You bring structure, accountability, and follow-through to pipeline management and forecasting

What You’ll Bring

Required:

  • 10–15+ years of progressive hyperscale/enterprise, technical sales experience

  • 5–10+ years managing complex enterprise or hyperscale accounts

  • Experience navigating multi-stakeholder, multi-year sales cycles

  • Experience in data center, colocation, mission-critical infrastructure, or adjacent industries

  • Strong understanding of technical infrastructure environments and consultative solution selling

  • Established network of industry relationships across enterprise infrastructure ecosystems

  • Proven ability to engage executive stakeholders and influence strategic decisions

  • Strong presentation, communication, and negotiation skills

  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and driving alignment across teams

  • Strong business acumen and strategic planning capabilities

  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting hyperscale infrastructure or large-scale digital transformation initiatives

  • Experience developing strategic partnerships or alliance programs

  • Experience in developing complex solutions to answer complex problems associated with Hyperscale customers and a technical sale.

  • Familiarity with cloud, connectivity, telecommunications, power, or infrastructure ecosystems

Travel Requirements

  • Extensive travel required, including overnight and multi-day travel

  • Frequent customer meetings, conferences, and industry events expected
