Business Analyst Consultant - 6 Month Contract with possible extension
90% Remote - 10% travel to TX is required but you do not have to relocate (All travel expenses are covered 100%)
BA Requirement:
Job Title: Senior Business Analyst - Technical Background (Food Industry Preferred)
Experience Level: 5- 10 years experience
Key Responsibilities:
Requirements Gathering & Analysis:
Lead stakeholder interviews, workshops, and site observations to gather and validate business needs.
Document current-state workflows, pain points, and desired outcomes with clarity and structure.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and technology-enabled efficiency within food operations, supply chain, or facility workflows.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and refine future-state processes.
Technical Liaison:
Translate business requirements into functional specs for developers, architects, or product teams.
Participate in solution design reviews to ensure requirements are accurately interpreted and feasible.
System Discovery & Data Mapping:
Support discovery of legacy systems and contribute to technology rationalization or transition efforts.
Assist in data analysis, mapping, and integration planning for systems like ERP, inventory management, or ordering tools.
Testing & Validation:
Develop use cases, test scripts, and assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet business expectations.
Change Management & Communication:
Contribute to training materials and stakeholder engagement plans to support user adoption.
Communicate project requirement status, risks, and findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
Required Qualifications:
5-10 years of Business Analyst experience in mid-to-large scale environments.
Strong technical acumen with ability to understand systems architecture, databases, APIs, and data flow diagrams.
Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart, or SQL.
Experience working on enterprise systems such as ERP, work order management, procurement, or facility management platforms.
