PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a global leader in the aerospace industry to find an experienced Supplier Performance Agent who thrives on solving complex supply chain challenges and driving operational excellence.

In this highly visible role, you'll work directly with key suppliers to improve performance, eliminate production risks, and ensure critical aircraft components are delivered on time. If you're an experienced manufacturing or operations professional who enjoys leading supplier improvement initiatives, collaborating across teams, and making a measurable impact on world-class aerospace programs, this opportunity is for you.

What You'll Do

As a Supplier Performance Agent, you'll serve as a trusted partner to suppliers and internal stakeholders, helping strengthen supplier performance while ensuring uninterrupted production. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead onsite visits at key supplier locations to assess performance challenges and implement improvement strategies focused on purchase order alignment, operational processes, and quality systems.

  • Expedite critical parts and remove supply chain roadblocks to ensure zero disruption to production operations.

  • Partner with suppliers to establish recovery plans, maintain balanced production schedules, and provide daily follow-up on progress.

  • Collaborate with Procurement, Quality, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to define supplier intervention strategies and ensure successful execution.

  • Identify supplier improvement opportunities and proactively manage risk mitigation initiatives.

  • Drive supplier performance improvement plans while coordinating action items with both internal and external partners.

  • Develop supplier improvement plans centered on quality, delivery performance, manufacturing capacity, and process capability.

  • Conduct comprehensive onsite supplier capacity and capability assessments and develop actionable plans to close performance gaps.

  • Provide timely updates and performance reports to key stakeholders while ensuring appropriate communication and escalation when needed.

  • Build strong working relationships with suppliers to support long-term operational success.

  • Coordinate business travel, expense reporting, financial reviews, and administrative activities related to supplier support.

Travel Requirement: This role requires up to 70% travel, providing the opportunity to work directly with suppliers and manufacturing partners across multiple locations.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or equivalent professional experience.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing, operations, supplier performance, supply chain, or a related field.

  • Strong manufacturing and production knowledge with experience supporting supplier operations.

  • Experience working with supplier networks and sub-tier suppliers.

  • Ability to work independently and effectively engage new suppliers with minimal direction.

  • Proven experience leading cross-functional projects involving multiple business units.

  • Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong analytical, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

  • Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Customer-focused mindset with a high level of professionalism and integrity.

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).

  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively (up to 70%).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of operational and financial management principles.

  • Understanding of supplier business relationships and aerospace manufacturing environments.

  • Experience with supplier performance systems and business applications, including BA systems.

  • Aerospace industry experience is highly desirable.

Ready to Make a Global Impact?

If you're a strategic problem-solver with a passion for supplier performance, manufacturing excellence, and operational success, we want to hear from you.
