KBS CFO, one of the early adopters of the CPA-led, Virtual CFO model, is in search of a Accounting Manager to join our team.

We have been providing Client Accounting Service solutions to growing businesses since 2004. We are focused on our clients succeeding, sustaining and growing.

Recognizing that there are many talented individuals that have a lot to contribute to an organization, but, are either not able to, or prefer not to work full time, KBS CFO has developed a business model that provides employees with an opportunity to learn, grow and contribute, while providing the ability to perform job responsibilities in a virtual and flexible work environment.

Organization is structured to accommodate those looking for a very rewarding position while allowing for work/life balance.

You will be responsible for managing the accounting operation as a part of a team for 5 - 10 clients

Primary responsibilities for the position include:

  • Managing and oversight of the general accounting function(s), including the records and operation of accounting systems, the gathering and reporting of financial information
  • Financial reporting interpretation, analysis and review
  • Virtual meetings with clients to discuss the financial results and ensure that KBS is providing the client with the services and accounting information needed to grow and prosper
  • Projecting accounting data to show effects of proposed plans on investments, cash, and overall financial condition
  • Assures standard accounting procedures are adhered to and supervises the maintenance of the accounting and voucher files.
  • Trains and manages team members
  • Ensures longer-term functional objectives are translated into shorter-term tasks
  • Establishes processes/procedures, when necessary, to ensure the effective and efficient operation of a somewhat complex function
  • Special projects as needed
  • Meeting financial reporting and other deadlines aligned with a conventional accounting department

The background and experience of candidates interested in applying for the position should include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • CPA or CGMA designation preferred
  • Industry knowledge - as a complement to strong accounting foundation, specified knowledge regarding job costing, manufacturing, government contracting, start ups, preferred
  • 6-8 years of experience, including 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated accounting software proficiency: Intacct, QuickBooks Online and similar products
  • Prior financial reporting experience, including historical and forecast reports and related analyses.
  • Strong technology adoption skills
  • Proficiency adopting technology to automate accounting processes

  • Strong interpersonal, problem solving and relationship building skills.
