Job description


We are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to support Rooms Amenities. This position is responsible for managing supplier relationships & contracts and supporting customer programs.
Leveraging best practices and in accordance with company standards, the Manager will actively plan and then execute initiatives that result in successful contracts that satisfy customer needs and generate value and/or cost savings. This may also require good business judgment to adjust the process in order to deliver a successful contract in an efficient manner.
The Manager will collaborate with the larger Rooms Amenities team to support the overall category strategy, and will oversee a selection of contracts as assigned for which s/he will ensure the supplier meets their contractual commitments, that customers' needs are being met, and ensure that suppliers and contracts remain competitive with market changes.
The Manager will collaborate with internal stakeholders to successful implementation of contracts and new products that support category growth and Avendra's customers. Additionally, the Manager may interact directly with customers, including senior leadership positions, on high visibility projects, which will require a strong customer service mindset and ability to develop a relationship as a "trusted consultant".
Job Responsibilities
• Experience in hotel amenities, personal-care products, hospitality procurement, consumer products, or a related sourcing category is preferred.
• Lead strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, contract management, and category strategy for hotel guest-room amenities and personal-care products
• Lead supplier negotiation and pricing strategy development efforts for supplier agreements.
• Collect, organize, and analyze purchasing data to identify areas of opportunities and measure contract and program successes, and then summarize findings and recommended actions for variety of stakeholders
• Thoughtfully plan sourcing initiatives as assigned and in accordance with industry best practices and company standards
• Manages annual plan by creating realistic timelines, meeting milestones, and communicating initiative status updates
• Build and maintain supplier relationships; hold suppliers accountable to deliver contractual commitments while driving program growth
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders on sourcing activities and projects
• Implement all aspects of client development teams for initiatives, i.e., identify the correct participants, solicit input at the appropriate times, run meetings, etc.
• Manage assigned portfolio of contracts and suppliers to ensure information is consistently up to date
• Lead presentations to internal and external teams and suppliers
• Strong focus on delivering product savings, category growth, and enhancing overall enterprise value
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; a degree in supply chain, project management, business, economics, or a related field is preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience using Excel, including large data set analysis, PivotTables, and cost comparison models
  • At least 3 years of experience negotiating and managing vendor supply contracts
  • At least 3 years of experience simultaneously conducting 3 or more sourcing projects, including RFPs
  • Ability to travel 10%-15% of the time
  • Prior experience in amenities/personal care product category and/or strategic sourcing preferred
  • Strong data analysis capabilities. Must have prior experience performing in-depth analysis, interpreting data, and converting findings into actionable steps
  • Strong technical sourcing process and contracting knowledge
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, and ability to independently contribute to team goals
  • Strong attention to detail and process orientation

Years of Relevant Experience:
  • 5-10 years of relevant professional experience in procurement, contracting, supply chain optimization, category management, business management, or management consulting, including the minimum contract negotiation and simultaneous sourcing project experience stated above.

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required; a degree in supply chain, project management, business, economics, or a related field is preferred.

Benefits
COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position is $88,500-$110,000. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.
