Non-Negotiables
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline is required
  • You must possess at least 11 years of progressive experience in substation engineering and project management
  • Demonstrated success delivering complex substation design projects and managing EPC programs is essential
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship
  • The ability to work from Bloomington, MN, or one of the other listed office locations is mandatory
  • Strong leadership and client-facing communication skills are non-negotiable; you will represent the firm to major utility clients
  • Proficiency with project controlsโ€”scope, schedule, budget, and riskโ€”for multidisciplinary engineering teams is required

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the technical lead and project delivery owner for complex substation design projects from concept to completion
  • Manage all technical deliverables and ensure they meet client specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee project resourcesโ€”including engineers, designers, and external partnersโ€”to maintain quality and schedule adherence
  • Collaborate closely with the assigned Project Manager to control scope, schedule, and budget while proactively identifying and mitigating risks
