Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will have a variety of essential responsibilities that contribute to our care model, including:

  • Providing therapeutic support to clients by conducting clinical assessments, diagnosis, and developing individual treatment plans (ITPs).
  • Assisting treating therapists in the scoring, interpretation, and reporting of Psychometric assessments to effectively monitor client progress.
  • Engaging in collaborative supervision sessions with site supervisors, contributing to continuous performance improvement and professional development.
  • Maintaining accurate and thorough client records, both written and electronic, ensuring that all documentation complies with regulatory requirements.
  • Participating in smaller group supervision and seminar preparations, including reviewing video tapes to enhance therapeutic techniques.
  • Conducting consultations with clients, working closely with other agency professionals to coordinate comprehensive mental health services.
  • Conducting research into best practices based on specific assignments from supervisors, enhancing both personal expertise and client outcomes.
  • Attending regular staff meetings, workshops, and ongoing training sessions to stay current with industry standards and organizational policies.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The clientele served by Serene Reflections includes individuals from diverse backgrounds experiencing a range of mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. Counselors are expected to deliver culturally competent care tailored to each individual's needs, ensuring all clients feel respected, understood, and empowered in their mental health journeys.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Current licensure as a mental health counselor (LMHC, LMFT, LICSW) as per state regulations.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without restrictions.
  • Demonstrated strong clinical skills with an ability to establish rapport and trust with clients.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective client engagement.
  • No history of medical malpractice claims, validated through a third-party verification process.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience in a community health setting or similar environment focused on mental health treatment.
  • Exposure to tools and methodologies relevant to psychometric assessments and treatment planning.
  • Proficiency in collaborative approaches to case management, working with multi-disciplinary teams.
