We have an opening for an experienced Mainframe (z/OS, COBOL) Developer. You'll join a great team; a good personality and strong work ethic are key.
This is Remote position, you must live in the United States (no exceptions) and must have lived in the U.S. for three of the last five years.
U.S. Citizenship or Green Card required. No 1099, C2C, or recruiters. This position requires a background investigation to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance.
Job Summary
As a Mainframe Developer, you will take on interesting challenges both sustaining and modernizing multiple programs.
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide application support, application enhancements, and production support
  • Conduct research, analyze information, and perform analysis to support the delivery of defect corrections
  • Troubleshoot complex issues
  • Develop scripts and other utilities to implement production data fixes
  • Create, monitor, and optimize performance
  • Develop standards, guidelines, and best practices

Qualifications and Required Skills
  • Must Have Technology experience: COBOL, Z/OS, CICS
  • Preferred Technology experience: industry standard languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, C#) and/or next generation languages (e.g., TypeScript, Rust, Go, Swift)
  • Leadership skills, initiative, and good judgement
  • Ability to work both as a team member and independently
  • Preferred Industry experience: Federal Government, Insurance, Banking
  • Minimum Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with 5+ years of Mainframe Developer experience.

Salary Range
$80,000 - $86,000 annually
In accordance with applicable pay transparency laws, the salary range listed above represents the good-faith compensation range we reasonably expect to offer for this position at the time of posting. Actual starting salary will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, qualifications, education, geographic location, and internal compensation considerations.
In addition to base salary, employee may be eligible for additional compensation and benefits, which will be discussed during the hiring process. We are committed to providing competitive compensation that reflects the value and contributions of each team member.
