Your role in our mission
Take a close look at some of the details that contribute to Gainwell's industry-leading tools and technologies in this challenging position.
  • Code, test, debug, implement and document moderately complex programs
  • Analyze, design and write specs and reqs from which we develop and code programs
  • Evaluate existing systems and programs; assist project the manager in assigning tasks and work closely with a team
  • Liaise with clients and management to provide technical consulting on complex programming projects, validate program requirements and resolve issues that arise
  • Develop test plans and participate in QA activities such as coding reviews
  • Participate as a member of a development team and lead a small sub-team of developers as needed
  • Design system components and delegate responsibilities to team members

What we're looking for
  • 3+ years of mainframe programming experience with COBOL, DB2, JCL, ICEMAN, IDCAMS, EZTrieve, Expeditor.
  • Must have experience in IBM Transformation Extender for HIPAA EDI X12.
  • Desired experience in any of the following:
    • Healthcare EDI Standards and supporting Healthcare Transaction Sets 837, 276/277, 834, 835, 820
    • ETL tool (like ITX)
    • ISPW and Control-M
    • SQL Server database

Other experience:
  • Create and maintain operational, configuration, procedural and other documentation.
  • Configures end-user or enterprise systems.
  • Applies company and 3rd party technologies to software solutions of moderate complexity.
  • Must understand mainframe integration with modern technology.

The pay range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
