Job Summary
SitterTree is seeking a skilled Lifecycle Marketing Manager to join our team. The Lifecycle Marketing Manager is responsible for increasing customer retention, repeat transactions, engagement, and lifetime value by designing and optimizing the customer lifecycle through data-driven, personalized, and automated experiences across all sides of the marketplace. In short, this role is responsible for increasing customer lifetime value through activation, retention and repeat usage.
This is a highly executional role for a strong copywriter who can translate business goals into clear, compelling messaging that drives action. The Lifecycle Marketing Manager will craft high-performing emails across onboarding, engagement, and retention—ensuring every send is purposeful, well-written, and conversion-focused.
This person will manage campaign strategy, segmentation, automation, and performance across Mailchimp and HubSpot, continuously testing and iterating to improve open rates, click-through rates, and downstream conversion. They operate with urgency and use email and SMS as a key lever to drive marketplace liquidity and growth.
Responsibilities 
  • Lifecycle Marketing & Automation:
    • Develop and optimize lifecycle experiences across website sign-up and conversion experiences, email, SMS, push notifications, in-app messaging, and other marketing channels to activate, retain, incentivize referrals, and increase overall lifetime value
    • Build and optimize automated email, SMS, push, and in-app journeys, including onboarding, activation, referral, retention, and re-engagement
    • Identify friction points across the user journey and develop channel strategies to improve sign-up, activation, conversion, and retention
    • Partner with the Product team to execute activation and retention strategies across the website and app
  • Copywriting & Campaign Execution:
    • Create clear, compelling, and action-oriented email, sms, and push copy tailored to segments of sitters, parents, preschools, and congregations
    • Own the creation and execution of all email campaigns including promotions, lifecycle messaging, and announcements
    • Develop subject lines and preview text that drive high open rates
    • Ensure messaging is concise, engaging, and aligned with brand voice while optimizing for conversion
    • QA, schedule, and deploy campaigns in Mailchimp and HubSpot with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Segmentation & Personalization:
    • Develop and manage audience segmentation strategies based on behavior, geography, and user type
    • Leverage data to personalize messaging and increase relevance and engagement
    • Create targeted campaigns to ensure the right users receive the right message at the right time
  • Testing & Optimization:
    • Own the testing roadmap for email, including A/B testing subject lines, copy, CTAs, send times, and audience segments
    • Continuously test and iterate on messaging and campaign structure to improve performance across lifecycle stages
    • Analyze test results and quickly implement learnings to drive measurable improvements in engagement and conversion
    • Operate with a test-and-learn mindset, constantly identifying new opportunities to improve performance
  • Reporting & Performance Management:
    Track and report on email performance including open rates, click-through rates, conversion, and revenue impact
    • Build and maintain regular reporting to measure campaign effectiveness and lifecycle performance
    • Use data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities to improve email strategy and execution
    • Monitor the impact of email on key marketplace metrics including applications per job and repeat bookings
  • Administrative: 
    • Build, manage, and maintain email campaigns and workflows in Mailchimp and HubSpot
    • Ensure lists, segments, and automations are clean, accurate, and up to date
    • Collaborate closely with marketing, product, and operations teams to align messaging and priorities
    • Identify and provide product feedback to improve user experience and conversion

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 3-5+ years of experience in email marketing, lifecycle marketing, or CRM marketing
  • Hands-on experience with Mailchimp and HubSpot
  • Experience writing high-performing marketing copy across email or similar channels
