About the Role
We are seeking a Digital Media Associate Editor to support the digital and social media growth of Supermarket Perimeter and bake magazines. In this role, you will develop engaging digital content, strengthen brand awareness, and connect with a specialized B2B audience across the websites, social media, and digital newsletters. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented digital storyteller with strong digital media skills, and an understanding of how audiences engage with content online.
What You’ll Do
  • Create impactful editorial content for the website, social media, and digital newsletters, including news, press releases, product innovations, and industry trend coverage.
  • Curate and organize e-newsletters to improve open rates, reader engagement, and overall digital performance.
  • Source or create graphics, video, and audio assets that support compelling digital storytelling.
  • Edit and resize images using Photoshop or similar digital editing tools.
  • Build and maintain industry sources to support relevant, accurate, and timely coverage.
  • Monitor digital performance benchmarks and prepare analytic reports that help improve online engagement and activity.
  • Assist with content development and copy editing for the print publication as assigned.
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, and industry events to network with experts, build subject matter knowledge, and create show-related coverage.
This role may include other related duties as assigned to support editorial and business needs.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Digital Media, Communications, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in digital or multimedia journalism, including video, audio, or podcast production.
  • Experience in B2B publishing is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of digital publishing, social media platforms, and audience engagement strategies.
  • Familiarity with SEO optimization, taxonomy, analytics tools, and basic graphic or multimedia editing tools preferred.
  • Excellent interviewing, writing, and editing skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills with a strategic, results-driven mindset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with Adobe Audition, Premiere Pro, InDesign, or similar digital editing tools is a plus.
  • Curiosity and interest in covering specialized B2B industries.
Remote Work Requirements
  • This position may be performed remotely from a home office environment. Candidates should be able to maintain a professional, safe, and distraction-limited workspace that supports productivity, confidentiality, and effective communication during scheduled working hours.
  • The home office must provide reliable lighting, an ergonomic setup, and the ability to participate in virtual meetings and phone calls without excessive background noise or interruptions.
  • Candidates must have high-speed, dependable internet service capable of supporting video conferencing, cloud-based systems, and other business applications required for the role.
  • The remote work environment must support company expectations related to data security, confidentiality, and equipment use.

We are an equal opportunity employer and consider qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other status protected by applicable law.
