What is a Remote Machine Learning Robotics job?

A Remote Machine Learning Robotics job involves developing and implementing machine learning algorithms to control and improve robotic systems, all while working from a remote location. Professionals in this field use artificial intelligence techniques to enable robots to learn from data and adapt to new tasks. They collaborate with teams virtually, leveraging cloud-based tools and simulation environments to design, test, and deploy robotic solutions. This role typically requires strong programming skills, knowledge of robotics frameworks, and experience with machine learning models.

What is the difference between Remote Machine Learning Robotics vs Remote Data Scientist?

AspectRemote Machine Learning RoboticsRemote Data Scientist
Required CredentialsDegree in Robotics, Computer Science, or related fields; experience with ML algorithms and robotics platformsDegree in Data Science, Statistics, or related fields; proficiency in ML, statistics, and programming
Work EnvironmentHands-on with robotics hardware, simulation environments, and software developmentData analysis, modeling, and visualization primarily on software platforms
Employer & Industry UsageRobotics companies, manufacturing, autonomous vehicles, research labsTech firms, finance, healthcare, research institutions

Remote Machine Learning Robotics focuses on developing intelligent systems that integrate robotics hardware with machine learning algorithms, often requiring hands-on hardware work. In contrast, Remote Data Scientists primarily analyze data and build models using software tools. Both roles involve ML expertise but differ in work environment and industry applications.

How do remote machine learning robotics professionals typically collaborate with hardware teams when working off-site?

Remote machine learning robotics professionals often collaborate closely with hardware teams through regular virtual meetings, shared documentation, and cloud-based development environments. They use simulation tools to test algorithms before deployment and rely on video calls or live streams to observe hardware tests in real time. Effective communication and detailed feedback are essential to ensure that software and hardware integration runs smoothly, despite working from different locations. This collaborative approach helps address issues quickly and keeps projects on track.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Machine Learning Robotics Engineer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Machine Learning Robotics Engineer, you need a solid background in robotics, machine learning algorithms, programming (Python, C++), and typically a degree in computer science, robotics, or a related field. Familiarity with robotics frameworks (like ROS), machine learning libraries (such as TensorFlow or PyTorch), and experience with cloud platforms or remote collaboration tools are highly valued. Strong problem-solving abilities, initiative, and effective remote communication skills help you excel in distributed teams. These competencies enable you to develop intelligent robotic systems efficiently, collaborate across locations, and drive innovation in a rapidly evolving field.

Overview

Description

Our client is seeking a motivated Junior Identity Security Metrics Consultant & Databricks Analyst to support enterprise identity security initiatives and data analytics efforts across modern identity and cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will assist in generating metrics-that-matter within identity ecosystems such as Okta and Ping while leveraging Databricks to extract, analyze, and report on operational and security-related data.
This role requires a blend of identity security knowledge, analytical thinking, and data storytelling capabilities. The candidate will work closely with technical and business stakeholders to develop meaningful security metrics, support identity-related implementations, and create executive-level reporting that enhances visibility into authentication, access management, and enterprise security posture.
The position demands strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across multiple functional teams in support of mission-critical identity and analytics initiatives.
Responsibilities

  • Identity Security Metrics & Reporting: Support identity security initiatives by developing and maintaining meaningful security metrics and reporting capabilities across enterprise identity platforms such as Okta and Ping.
  • Databricks Data Analysis: Extract, analyze, and generate reports from Databricks environments to support operational insights, security initiatives, and data-driven decision-making.
  • AI/ML Security Support: Assist with leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) capabilities to improve fraud detection, identity authentication processes, and enterprise data quality initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Executive Briefings: Prepare presentations, dashboards, and executive briefings that effectively communicate trends, risks, and insights through storytelling with data.
  • Technical Implementation Support: Provide support for technical implementations related to identity and access management tools, including configuration, reporting, and data integration activities.
  • Data Validation & Quality Assurance: Validate data accuracy and integrity across identity systems and analytics platforms while identifying inconsistencies, reporting gaps, or data anomalies.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, project stakeholders, and leadership to support identity security modernization efforts and analytics initiatives.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain documentation, reports, and operational procedures related to identity metrics, analytics processes, implementation activities, and reporting standards.
Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience: 1+ years of experience supporting identity security, data analytics, Databricks analysis, or related technical consulting initiatives in enterprise environments.
  • Identity & Access Management Knowledge: Experience supporting identity and access management (IAM) tools and platforms such as Okta, Ping, SailPoint, or similar enterprise identity technologies.
  • Databricks & Data Analytics: Hands-on experience using Databricks or similar analytics platforms for data extraction, reporting, dashboard creation, and operational analysis.
  • AI/ML & Security Analytics: Familiarity with artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) concepts related to fraud detection, authentication analysis, anomaly detection, and enterprise data quality improvement.
  • Technical Implementations: Experience supporting technical implementations, integrations, reporting activities, or platform configuration related to identity security or analytics environments.
  • Executive Communication & Storytelling: Ability to develop executive briefings, dashboards, presentations, and data-driven reporting materials for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functional groups, leadership teams, and project stakeholders.
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, or an equivalent technical field.
  • Clearance Eligibility: Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Cloud & Security Platforms: Familiarity with enterprise cloud environments, identity governance, authentication systems, or security operations processes.
