Diversicare Health & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our growing team. This full-time position, based in Reno, Nevada, offers the opportunity to work remotely while providing essential mental health services to our patients. As a key member of our outpatient office, you will specialize in mood disorders, working collaboratively with clients to enhance their mental well-being through evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

Work Environment

As a remote outpatient therapist at Diversicare, you will enjoy the flexibility of working from your own location while being part of a cohesive team committed to effective mental health treatments. Your regular work schedule will be Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening and weekend shifts on a rotational basis to meet client needs. This setup aims to promote work-life balance while delivering high-quality therapy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive assessments to understand the severity, frequency, and duration of symptoms presented by clients suffering from mood disorders.
  • Develop customized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, ensuring alignment with their individual goals and preferences.
  • Implement evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to treat mood disorders effectively.
  • Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment strategies, and self-care techniques that promote mental health stability.
  • Monitor client progress over the course of therapy, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on observed changes and outcomes.
  • Work closely with our team of psychiatrists and other medical professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to each client’s care.
  • Stay informed on current research and advancements in the treatment of mood disorders to continually enhance therapy effectiveness.
  • Maintain precise and confidential client records, documenting sessions, treatment plans, and progress, while adhering to legal and ethical standards.
  • Engage in case consultations and team meetings, contributing to discussions on best practices in treating mood disorders.
  • Advocate for clients experiencing mood disorders, promoting awareness, and reducing stigma associated with mental health challenges.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with clients experiencing mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and various anxiety-related disorders. Your expertise will be pivotal in helping individuals navigate their mental health challenges, developing resilience and coping mechanisms to enhance their quality of life.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Nevada.
  • A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical mental health setting.
  • Strong background in evidence-based treatment modalities, particularly CBT and DBT.
  • Working knowledge of psychopharmacology and the ability to collaborate effectively with psychiatrists.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve successful treatment outcomes in managing mood disorders.
