Willow Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Counselor for a full-time remote position. Work Environment

This role is designed to be fully remote, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a structured work schedule. Our office operates Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility in hours to accommodate patient needs. You will join a collaborative team of licensed professionals in a supportive atmosphere that encourages professional growth and development. Our remote setting harnesses technology to provide seamless communication and support, ensuring that you remain connected to your colleagues and the resources you need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the needs and goals of each patient.
• Develop customized treatment plans using evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy.
• Deliver individual therapy sessions while also facilitating group therapy and psychoeducational workshops aimed at addressing common mental health issues.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Provide crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, guiding clients toward effective coping strategies.
• Educate patients on their mental health conditions, available treatment options, and local resources to support their recovery journey.
• Maintain meticulous, confidential documentation that adheres to all legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development initiatives to enhance your skills.
• Stay informed about the latest research and trends in mental health therapy to incorporate best practices into your work.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Willow Counseling Center, our therapists work with a diverse clientele, including individuals facing a variety of mental health challenges. Your caseload may include clients struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and substance use disorders. The flexibility of your schedule will allow you to cater to the specific needs of different patient populations, ensuring that each individual receives the tailored support they require.

Qualifications

• A valid and current license in the state of Illinois as an LPC, LCSW, or LMFT.
• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Proven ability to perform comprehensive mental health assessments and create effective, individualized treatment plans.
• Strong proficiency in evidence-based therapies with demonstrated experience in delivering both individual and group therapy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a capacity to build rapport and instill trust in clients.
• Proficient in the use of electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard office applications.
• Commitment to upholding the highest standards of ethics and professionalism in accordance with legal guidelines.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with a variety of mental health disorders and diverse populations.
• Skills in crisis intervention and comfort in handling emergency situations.
• Familiarity with community resources and support systems available to clients.

Compensation and Benefits
