Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Oaks Integrated Health Centre, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to accurately determine the mental health needs of clients and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Maintaining consistent communication with supervisors, colleagues, families, and other stakeholders to provide updates on client progress and ensure coordinated care.
• Scheduling and facilitating appointments, home visits, and therapeutic observations that strengthen client rapport and monitoring of development.
• Reviewing case files and participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss treatment strategies and client outcomes, ensuring best practices are followed.
• Ensuring the effective implementation of treatment plans, making adjustments as necessary based on client feedback and assessments.
• Documenting client interactions, completing monthly and quarterly progress notes to track improvements and outcomes over time.
• Creating and leading training sessions for other staff members to ensure comprehensive understanding and competence in program implementation and documentation standards.
• Providing ongoing support through follow-up interviews and home visits as needed to reinforce treatment progress and monitor evolving client needs.
• Engaging with the wider mental health community to foster collaboration and improve client access to resources and support.
• Assisting in the development of training materials aimed at enhancing program efficacy and staff competency.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role involves servicing a diverse population that includes both adults and youth facing various mental health challenges. You will be equipped to handle issues ranging from anxiety and depression to complex PTSD, providing evidence-based counseling strategies tailored to the individual’s circumstances. Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess the following:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Illinois.
• A minimum of two years of clinical counseling experience is required, with a strong preference for candidates with practice in a clinical context.
• A solid foundation in ethical guidelines, legal standards, and best practices within the mental health field.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Capability for effective collaboration, illustrating your readiness to work within a multi-disciplinary healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

Although not required, candidates with specialization in specific treatment areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, substance misuse, or trauma recovery will stand out. Experience with EMR software and other relevant technologies is also beneficial for streamlining client management processes.

Compensation and Benefits

Your dedication and expertise will be rewarded with a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000 annually, determined by your experience and caseload availability. In addition to salary, we offer a range of benefits, including:
