As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Bellarine Counseling Center, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of clients, accurately identifying their mental health needs and developing personalized treatment plans tailored to meet their unique challenges.
• Provide evidence-based therapy services through individual, group, and family sessions, utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques.
• Collaborate with case managers, psychiatrists, and other multidisciplinary team members to ensure holistic and coordinated care for all clients.
• Deliver crisis intervention and immediate support to clients undergoing acute distress or facing emergencies, employing your expertise in mental health to stabilize situations effectively.
• Engage actively in community outreach efforts and educational programs aimed at promoting mental health awareness and reducing stigma surrounding mental health conditions.

You will work with a varied clientele, including individuals from diverse cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. To be successful in this role, applicants must possess:

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and develop therapeutic relationships effectively.
• Cultural competence and sensitivity to work effectively with individuals from varied backgrounds.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, ensuring that documentation and case management are executed in a timely manner.

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in telehealth settings or prior training in evidence-based therapeutic practices will be highly regarded. Additionally, familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and scheduling logistics in a remote environment would be beneficial.
