The Bellarine Counseling Center is actively seeking dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselors to join our team for remote telehealth services. Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to accurately identify clients' mental health needs, utilizing standardized screening tools and clinical interviews.
• Developing tailored treatment plans based on assessments, integrating evidence-based practices that reflect the latest research in mental health care.
• Delivering therapeutic services through individual, group, and family therapy sessions, employing a variety of modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques.
• Collaborating with case managers and medical professionals to ensure that clients receive well-rounded care, addressing not only psychological aspects but also social determinants impacting their mental health.
• Providing crisis intervention for clients experiencing acute distress, utilizing de-escalation techniques and safety planning strategies.
• Participating in community outreach efforts, contributing to mental health education, awareness campaigns, and stigma reduction initiatives.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must possess:

• An independent and active license such as:
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or Psychology.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients to foster a trusting therapeutic relationship.
• Cultural competence to effectively support clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong organizational skills for accurate and timely documentation and case management.

Preferred Experience

Experience in community mental health settings, knowledge of community resources, and prior involvement in crisis intervention or group therapy facilitation are highly valued. Additionally, familiarity with telehealth systems and practices will enhance your preparedness for this role.
