Job description

Echo Locum Tenens, an affiliate of Sound Physicians, is seeking Anesthesiologists for locum coverage at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado. This role offers flexible shifts with no minimum requirements and priority scheduling. The position involves providing anesthesia services across OB, Main OR, and Cardiac units, working collaboratively with CRNAs.

Practice Info

  • Services include OB, Main OR, and Cardiac.
  • OB services are 24 hours/7 days per week, staffed with 1 MD and 1 CRNA.
  • The main OR anesthesiologist will supervise CRNAs (max 1).
  • Cases include ENT, GYN, Ortho, neuro, vascular, Cath lab, GI, interventional cardiology-EP, bariatric surgery, general surgery, and breast surgery.
  • The facility is Level 4 trauma, serving as a tertiary referral center for vascular cases.
  • EPIC EMR is used in the Hospital and OR suites.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with CRNAs in OB services.
  • Assist in the main OR if needed from OB, especially at night and on weekends for second emergency cases.
  • Supervise CRNAs in the main OR (max 1).
  • Work cases when called in for main OR remote call.
  • Provide anesthesia for a variety of cases including ENT, GYN, Ortho, neuro, vascular, Cath lab, GI, interventional cardiology-EP, bariatric surgery, general surgery, and breast surgery.

  • Cardiac shifts: Monday -Friday (7a-5p) and (7a-5:30p) with remote call (5:30p-7a).
  • Cardiac shifts: Saturday – Sunday 24hr remote call.
