As an LCSW at Silver Head Psychiatry Clinic, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments of clients to determine their counseling needs and formulate personalized treatment plans.
• Evaluating clients for substance abuse diagnoses using DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual) criteria while adhering to ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) guidelines to establish appropriate levels of care.
• Preparing and facilitating comprehensive substance abuse counseling sessions, which may comprise individual, group, and family therapy methodologies.
• Documenting all counseling and education services, including assessments, treatment plans, and follow-up actions in a timely and accurate manner within the client’s clinical record.
• Maintaining an active client caseload, involving ongoing case management and documentation updates as required for effective treatment tracking.
• Providing coordination of necessary support services for clients and their families, ensuring clear communication with referral sources such as legal representatives, schools, and employers.
• Utilizing a multi-disciplinary team approach to facilitate crisis interventions and implementing strategies to support long-term recovery.

In this role, you will work primarily with patients who are navigating the challenges of substance use disorders along with co-occurring conditions. To be considered for this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
• A valid and current Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in the state of California.

• Demonstrated understanding of substance abuse treatment practices and cultural competency in clinical settings.
