• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans, closely collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to create targeted pre-crisis and crisis intervention plans.
• Ensure thorough documentation of services rendered, meeting all required regulatory standards and organizational protocols.
• Employ evidence-based screening tools and best practices to assess and address patients’ needs effectively.
• Facilitate the creation and implementation of positive behavior support plans, ensuring active participation in team meetings and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Serve as a liaison between our organization and community partners, state agencies, and relevant service systems, promoting integrated care.
• Establish and maintain effective communication channels with all stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational goals and community needs.
• Engage in ongoing professional development activities, including attending workshops, conferences, and regional meetings to enhance your expertise in the mental health field.
• Regularly participate in licensing and accreditation processes to uphold the standards and reputation of our clinic.
• Contribute to the promotion of our agency's mission, values, and community presence through outreach and collaboration.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Clinic Director that align with your professional skills and the needs of the organization.

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will work primarily with diverse populations facing challenges related to emotional distress, substance use, and developmental disabilities. Our clients often seek support for recovery and rehabilitation, and it is essential that you bring empathy, understanding, and culturally competent care to those you serve. Your role will be pivotal in facilitating their journey towards optimal health and wellness.

• A Master's Degree in a behavioral health field is required.
• Possession of an independent LMHC license in the state of Virginia is necessary to practice.
• Proficiency in maintaining clinical records, preparing related reports accurately and efficiently.
• Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas and treatment plans clearly to both clients and colleagues.
• Demonstrated capability to exercise professional judgment and make independent decisions based on clinical knowledge.

• Experience in a community health setting, particularly working with wide-ranging populations dealing with behavioral health challenges.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities and a commitment to ongoing professional development in mental health practices.
• Previous involvement in program development or advocacy efforts related to mental health services.

The compensation for this full-time position ranges from USD 86,000 to 103,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
