As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Blue Ridge, you will work in a supportive and collaborative remote environment, eliminating the need for commuting while providing you the flexibility to balance your professional and personal life. Our outpatient office operates under protocols designed to enhance productivity while ensuring that our clients receive the attention and care they deserve. • Conduct comprehensive assessments to develop personalized treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each client, considering factors such as crisis intervention and medication management.
• Document all client interactions and treatment plans in adherence to regulatory standards, ensuring timely and accurate records that support optimal patient care.
• Utilize evidence-based screening tools and methodologies as part of a collaborative clinical team to inform treatment decisions and enhance client outcomes.
• Engage actively with interdisciplinary teams to implement and monitor positive behavior support plans, fostering an integrated approach to mental health care.
• Actively participate in licensing processes and accreditation efforts, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with the community, including state agencies and service systems, facilitating comprehensive care and access to additional resources.
• Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and external stakeholders to uphold our mission and enhance community engagement.
• Continuously pursue professional development opportunities, including attending relevant conferences, engaging with task forces, and representing our agency within the field.

• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Clinic Director, ensuring a responsive and adaptive approach to client care.

Our Licensed Mental Health Counselor will work with a diverse array of clients, including individuals navigating emotional distress, those recovering from substance use, and clients with developmental disabilities or acquired brain injuries. You will develop strong therapeutic alliances that enhance recovery and well-being. The counselor’s role is crucial in guiding clients toward achieving their personal goals of wellness, community integration, and independence.

• A Master’s Degree in Behavioral Health or a related field is mandatory.
• Possession of an independent LMHC license issued by the state board is required.
• Proven ability to maintain accurate clinical records and prepare detailed reports that adhere to quality standards.
• Strong collaboration skills for effective teamwork in an interdisciplinary environment, demonstrating an ability to influence positive outcomes.
• Excellent communication skills, allowing for the effective expression of ideas and delivery of client care.
• Sound judgment and independent decision-making abilities informed by professional knowledge and ethical considerations.
